Pre-school at Snuggles is all about starting to get your child ready for school, making sure they’ll adjust smoothly and have the skills that they will need to start learning.
By the time your little one is three, they’ll be able to play for longer periods of time, which means we can introduce more structured activities. They’ll also be given the freedom to choose toys and resources that interest them the most, allowing them to choose the kind of day they want.
Activities Galore – Keeping Your Children Happy and Busy
While there’s loads to do in our pre-school room, we still love to take your little ones on outings to start to introduce them to the local area. As with everything we do, we combine education with fun – so expect trips to the aquarium and forest parks – all fully supervised and risk assessed, of course.
We also like to invite special guests into the nursery. Your little one can expect visits from some furry farm animal friends, reptiles, and singing and dancing sessions provided by Jo Jingles.
They’ll continue with sensory play, painting, sand and water play, music and singing – all integral parts of life at Snuggles. They’ll also be able to make the most of our home corner, where larger groups of children can role-play – promoting language development, sharing skills and imaginative play.
When it comes to quiet time our cozy book corner comes into its own, providing a space for group story times as well as individual reading and quiet times.
Feedback and Development
Every day, your child’s activities will be logged on our Nursery Pal app. That means you can see at a glance what they’ve been up to – what they’ve had to eat, how long they’ve spent asleep, and what adventures and activities they’ve been enjoying. If you’d rather, you can receive the same information on a sheet of paper at the end of the day instead – whatever works best for you.
We know that you’ll be keen to keep track of how your little one is developing, so we’ll give you a full written report once a year, and we’ll meet with you every three months to talk you through their progress folder. If there’s anything you want to know about your child’s time with us outside of those opportunities, we’re always happy to arrange a meeting to share what they’ve been up to and how they are coming along.
